Corequisite Course Tuition
Tuition for non-nursing courses is dependent on the number of general courses taken and the rate per credit hour is different than the nursing courses. Nursing courses do not count toward the credit hours labeled in the table on the bursar's page. The cost of the general courses is calculated based on the number of general course credit hours taken, using in-state tuition rates.

RN to BSN Online Admission Requirements
Before applying, please check to see if this program is available in your area. UL Lafayette's RN to BSN online program has specific requirements that applicants must meet to enroll. Please read the admission guidelines to ensure you qualify.
Please note: There is no time limit for transferring credits into the RN to BSN online program.
To meet admission requirements for the RN to BSN online, applicants must:
- Complete the online application and submit the non-refundable $25 application fee
- Possess and submit an active, unencumbered RN license
- Provide proof of one of the following items:
- Associate Degree Nurses: An Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from a regionally accredited U.S. institution that is also accredited by ACEN (formerly NLNAC) or NLN CNEA, with a GPA of 2.4 or higher in all coursework related to the ADN and any non-nursing courses that transfer into the program
- Diploma Nurses: Completion of a diploma program in nursing from a regionally accredited U.S. institution that is also accredited by ACEN (formerly NLNAC) or NLN CNEA, with a GPA of 2.4 or higher in all coursework and any non-nursing courses that transfer into the programNote: Individuals with an ADN or diploma from institutions that are not ACEN or NLN CNEA accredited are not eligible for enrollment in the RN to BSN program.
- Transfer students should have official transcripts from every collegiate institution attended mailed directly from the granting institution to the Office of Admissions. Hand-carried copies/transcripts are not considered official.

LPN transcripts are not necessary unless general education courses were taken that will transfer into the program and the institution granting the LPN is regionally accredited.
International Students:
- International credits will not transfer into the RN to BSN program. International students may be eligible for the program if they have earned an associate degree in nursing (ADN) from an ACEN-accredited U.S. program with a GPA of 2.4 or higher in all coursework related to the ADN and any non-nursing courses that transfer into the program.
- Student must be a permanent resident or U.S. citizen or have an approved work visa. All inquiries/questions regarding approved work visas should contact the Assistant Director of International Admissions at 337-482-6460.
Note: Due to compliance regulations, all programs may not be offered in every state. Please check with the enrollment specialist to verify that this program is offered in your state.
Registration Requirements
As an online student, you can submit a Request for Exemption from Immunization form. If you will attend courses on campus, you will need to submit an Immunization Compliance form with proof of required vaccinations.
All students must complete a Tuberculosis Screening Questionnaire. Students answering "YES" to any of the 3 questions must also submit proof of a Tuberculosis (TB) Skin test/PPD with clinical assessment by a healthcare provider.
To complete and submit these forms,
- Log in to ULink;
- Navigate to Campus Services;
- Under Health & Wellness, find the Medicat Patient Portal link;
- Under forms, you can complete and submit the TB Screen Questionnaire and access other required forms;
- Once you’ve completed the Compliance or Exemption form, select Upload in the top navigation of the Medicat Patient Portal to submit your form.
Once forms are submitted, student health services staff must review and accept them for your hold to be lifted. This may take up to 48 hours.

A Look at the RN to BSN Online Degree Program Curriculum
The RN to BSN online program at UL Lafayette consists of 30 hours of nursing coursework. In addition to the nursing core courses, students must also meet the state of Louisiana's general education requirements for a baccalaureate degree.

The corequisite courses listed below must be completed prior to graduation from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Most courses can be completed in an accelerated online format through UL Lafayette at this time.
