What advice would you give to those considering the RN to BSN online program?
The RN to BSN online program is a great way for busy professionals to obtain their BSN. The flexibility for those nurses working full time cannot be underrated. The program does take a commitment to learning, as the standards are high, but the rewards are even greater.
What is the value of a BSN?
The value of the BSN may be individual to many, but to our profession it is invaluable. The science behind nursing is the crux of the BSN, and that recognition is paramount to nursing's contribution to health care.
What do you think is the biggest challenge that nurses face today?
The biggest challenge nurses face today is the ability to deliver high-quality, evidence-based holistic care to diverse populations. Time and cost constraints leave many nurses disillusioned and make it difficult for them to become change agents, and that frustration affects the individual nurse, the profession and our patient populations.
