Do you teach a specific MBA concentration?
Which classes do you teach online?
What do students learn in your classes? What is the expected outcome?
I focus on teaching topics that the students can apply to their jobs today. Since most of the students are currently working, I think that the application of the material immediately will enforce remembering the content.
Why did you start teaching?
I come from an academic background. At first, I resisted following in the academic pathway; however, after working for a little while, I decided that I wanted something more. After I got my PhD, I realized that teaching is what I am passionate about!
What's the best advice you have ever received?
Don't wait! There is going to be no better time to advance yourself than now. When I started the doctoral program, I had an infant. I had 2 more children during my time in the doctoral program. I was not sure how I would manage all the work, but I became very efficient with my time. It was challenging, but it was so worth it!
What qualities make someone particularly successful in business?
Handwork, dependability, and striving to do more than you are asked to do.
Tell us something interesting about yourself that your students might not know about you.
I coded for Y2K.
